What to Expect
A Bucket-List Adventure with Purpose
Climb Africa’s highest peak and the world’s highest freestanding mountain while raising funds for Nina Imani. This unique experience also offers the opportunity to visit the projects you are helping to support and see the impact of your fundraising firsthand.
❋ The Route
The adventure begins on the western side of the mountain on the Lemosho Route at 2100m. Considered the most scenic route, over 8 days you will slowly wind your way towards the 5,895-metre summit. Along the way, you’ll experience some of Tanzania’s most spectacular mountain landscapes, travelling from lush forest through moorland and alpine desert before taking on the final ascent to Uhuru Peak.
❋ Acclimatisation
The 71km Lemosho Route offers a longer, more gradual ascent, allowing more time to acclimatise to the altitude and increasing your opportunity to reach the summit.
❋ Accommodation
As people’s accommodation preferences are widely varied we have not included accommodation pre/post climb in the price but are happy to provide recommendations and advice on where best to stay in Arusha or Moshi. If you want to visit the Inuka Tusonge vocational centre you will need to stay in Arusha pre-climb.
